Chatswood High School

Client: Richard Crookes Constructions Pty Ltd

Value: $2,556,000+GST

Our scope: The project was delivered in two key stages comprising the initial installation of demountable facilities, followed by the decant, decomplexing, and demolition works.

The initial stage involved blocking, levelling, and landing 11 demountables to the south-western and north-eastern ends of the school. Our scope included all commercial construction works from groundworks through to the installation of concrete pads, brick piers, and the full landing and complexing of the demountables.

All associated access infrastructure was delivered by GS Building, including decks, stairs, ramps, and covered walkways, in full compliance with EFSG and relevant code requirements.

Following completion of the operational use of the facilities, GS Building were re-engaged to undertake the full decant and demolition phase. This included the decomplexing of demountables, removal of associated structures and services, and preparation of units for craning and transport.

All works were carried out in accordance with School Infrastructure NSW procedures, ensuring compliance with required protocols for demobilisation and site safety, with cranage and transport coordinated by others.

The project also included the removal and modification of existing site elements, temporary works, and reinstatement activities to enable handover for subsequent construction and landscaping works by Richard Crookes Constructions.
