Our scope: The project involved the supply and installation of access infrastructure to support the operation of demountable school facilities, including raised walkways, awnings, ramps, stair systems, and associated structures.
GS Building delivered a comprehensive access solution, including the construction of approximately 386m² of raised timber walkways complete with concrete pad footings, structural framing, and non-slip plywood decking systems in accordance with Australian Standards.
The scope included the supply and installation of extensive overhead protection systems to both raised and at-grade walkways, incorporating structural framing and Colorbond and polycarbonate roofing to provide weather protection across the facility.
Additional works included the construction of multiple DDA-compliant access ramps servicing administration, communal, and support units, along with associated balustrades and handrails. GS Building also completed the installation of exit stairs, step units to demountables, and full balustrade systems throughout the site.
The project further included enclosure systems to the underside of demountables, aluminium fencing to designated areas, and the construction of a COLA structure, along with all associated structural supports and roofing systems.
All works were delivered in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, ensuring safe, compliant, and durable access solutions across the temporary school environment.
